COACHING FOR ARTISTS

Coaching helps you build the structure to live and work as an artist.

And more
WHERE
Online via Google Meets (no Google account required).
HOW OFTEN?
As often as you want.
I offer individual sessions, blocks of 4, or blocks of 6.
So, we can meet just once or we can meet regularly over a period of time. It’s your choice.
Most artists start with a block of 4 sessions; enough time to identify blocks, test strategies, and build momentum.
AFTER COACHING, ARTISTS TYPICALLY LEAVE WITH:
- A clear direction for the next 3–6 months of their practice
- A realistic plan for applications, exhibitions, or income
- Renewed momentum and accountability
- Confidence talking/writing about their work (statements, funding bids, etc.)
WHO IS IT FOR?
My coaching is for artists who want a sustainable, thoughtful practice that actually fits their life. It’s not about quick fixes or hustle culture. It’s about long term stability.
Just graduated from Art School?
Now what? A BA in Fine Art (or similar qualification) gives you time, space, and theory but, when it comes to real-world challenges - building confidence, building a sustainable practice, finding your audience, applying for opportunities and funding - most artists are left to figure it out alone. I can help you bridge the gap art school leaves behind.
Early/Mid-career Artist?
Experiencing a bit of a slump in your practice and you’re not sure how to move on? An outside perspective can bring clarity, focus, and awareness, helping you remove the barriers that are holding you back so that you can move forward.
Maybe you never went to Art School?
No problem. With 15+ years’ experience teaching Fine Art in universities, I can help you plug the gaps in your knowledge and experience to build a sustainable practice.
We all get stuck from time to time.
Let me help you.

APPLYING FOR FUNDING TO COVER THE COSTS?
Great idea!
Working with a coach/adviser/mentor on your project often makes it stronger - and funders recognise this. Funders want to help you grow - a coach/mentor is a great way to do that!
As a rule of thumb, it’s good to meet with a mentor 1-2 times before a project starts, 1-2 times during, and 1-2 times after. So, a Block of 4 or 6 session is great for you.
If you want to talk about how many sessions you might need, and how to work these into your budget, get in touch for a FREE 20-minute chat.
