Art schools lay the conceptual foundation. Coaching helps you build the structure to live and work as an artist.
Perhaps you’re a mid-career artist experiencing a bit of a slump in your practice and you’re not sure how to move on?
Or you’ve graduated from Art School… now what? A BA in Fine Art (or similar qualification) gives you time, space, and theory but, when it comes to real-world challenges of building confidence, building a sustainable practice, finding your audience, applying for opportunities and funding, most artists are left to figure it out alone.
Or, maybe you never went to Art School? Maybe you did an Art Foundation and then drifted off into another career, and now you want back in?

HOW DO COACHING SESSIONS WORK?
Sessions take place online via Google Meets (no Google account required).
Each session lasts 50 minutes.
We meet as often as you want. Once every week, every 2 weeks, monthly, or even quarterly. It’s your choice. (Most people choose once/month).
Email me to book a session (…or 4… or 6), I’ll send you an invoice, we’ll get a date in the diary, and I’ll email you a Google Meets link. Simply click on the link to join the session. Easy!
Not sure when you’re available? No problem! We can work out dates as we go along.

APPLYING FOR FUNDING TO COVER THE COSTS?
Great idea!
Working with a coach/adviser/mentor on your project often makes it stronger - and funders recognise this. Funders want to help you grow - a coach/mentor is a great way to do that!
As a rule of thumb, it’s good to meet with a mentor 1-2 times before a project starts, 1-2 times during, and 1-2 times after. So, a Block of 4 or 6 session is great for you.

There is often funding available for businesses / sole traders in their first year (Recent Graduates - that’s you!)
*Funding for coaching/mentoring from A-N, Business Start-Up Funders, and other sources can be a great way to bolster your match funding!
You’ll often need to be registered with HMRC to qualify but that’s easier than you think!
